CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING TRAILS

TRACK ON THE CYCLE PATH FROM TATRANSKÁ LOMNICA TO TATRANSKÁ KOTLINA – 8.6 km (one-way)

ꙮ the track begins right by Slnečný Dom in Tatranská Lomnica (cross-country ski rental)
ꙮ parking opposite the TANAP Museum (paid)
ꙮ  length 8.6 km – groomed with a snow groomer for both classic and skating technique

STAROLESNIANSKE LÚKY TRACK – 7.5 km

ꙮ loop heading to Starolesnianske Lúky begins the residential area of Tatranská Lomnica under Villa Buky and from Stará Lesná you can join it bellow Hotel Forton
ꙮ limited parking available in the residential area of T. Lomnica, or by the hotels in Stará Lesná
ꙮ the first section, the track is part of the sidewalk that leads from Tatranská Lomnica towards Stará Lesná, later it abandons the sidewalk, about 250 metres after the railway track crossing and continues towards the hotels above Stará Lesná, where there is a turning loop – on the return it runs bellow the hotels around the forest nursery across the meadows toward Veľká Lomnica and back
ꙮ in case of sufficient snowfall it is groomed with a snow groomer for skating style as well; if there is less snow, then only the classic technique track is prepared
ꙮ the loop has a length of approx. 7.5 km
ꙮ its slight elevation means that it won’t discourage even beginners and less experienced cross-country skiers
ꙮ as a bonus, you’ll get beautiful views of the Tatra peaks in good weather
